Nato chief says no timetable set for Ukraine's membership

Nato leaders have decided to allow Ukraine to become a member of the alliance after the war with Russia ends. Once the war with Russia is over, Nato will remove obstacles that currently hinder Ukraine’s membership path.

The fall of Kandahar, Afghanistan’s second-largest city and the former headquarters of the Taliban movement, in the south to the insurgents in the early hours of Friday was followed by the swift retreat of government forces from at least six other provincial capitals. These stunning, and rapid, victories have brought the insurgents to 40 km from the national capital, Kabul.
