White House: Ukraine using US cluster munitions on battlefield

Ukrainian forces have started to use cluster bombs provided by the United States for the first time in the past week or so, as they continue their counteroffensive against Russian forces. The cluster munitions, which can cause significant long-term harm, are designed to disperse hundreds of small explosive charges that can remain unexploded in the ground.

These stunning, and rapid, victories have brought the insurgents to 40 km from the national capital, Kabul.
