US' Alabama to try unprecedented execution method: Is death by pure Nitrogen a human experimentation?

The Alabama attorney general's office requested the state Supreme Court to schedule a date for the execution of Kenneth Eugene Smith. The court submission revealed that Alabama intends to carry out his execution using nitrogen hypoxia, a method allowed in three states but never used before.
